The Tenute Maltese farm is located in the heart of the territory of DOC Alcamo, in the province of Trapani – western Sicily. It is made up of several districts as  Rocca, Valdibella and Piraino.
The fertile soils with high agronomic potential are located at about 250 meters above sea level.
The vineyards until the 1900 consisted solely of varieties of white berries including the common white Catarratto and Trebbiano.
The new regulation on 1999 changed the denomination of DOC wines “Bianco Alcamo” to “DOC Alcamo” and expanded the varieties  with black grapes, given the remarkable vocational nature of the territory.

Today most of the vineyards are made up of black grape varieties including Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Nero D’Avola and Pinot Nero.
The native grapes  Grillo and Zibibbo are grown among the white berried grapes.
